Fried Chicken Kabab - Restaurant Style

Fried Chicken Kabab - Restaurant Style

Fried Chicken Kababs can be counted into Bangaloorean Street food and also to the restaurant food. Since I never have the courage to try on streets which is very common everyday and much tempting, I would refer this to the one of famous Bangalore Restaurant- The Empire. I love their non-veg thali which comes with kerala Parata, chicken curry and this juicy fried chicken kababs. We even get chicken kabab powder in almost all the shops here. After trying with the ready made powder, I still didn't get that perfect taste. I noted down the ingredients and then altered it a bit and finally nailed the recipe. :)

Chicken pieces 500g

Maida 2 tbsp

Corn Flour - 1 tbsp

Egg -1

salt to taste

Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tbsp

Red chilli powder - 2 tsp

Garam Masala powder - 1 tsp

Red food color, a pinch

Lemon juice -2 tsp

Oil for deep frying

1. Marinate the chicken with all the above ingredients except oil for atleast 2 hours.

2. Deep fry the marinated chicken( few at a time) in hot oil on a medium heat till it's cooked properly and looks crisp.

3. Drain on tissue paper to remove excess oil and serve hot with onion rings and lime piece.
