Today's post is the kids special breakfast recipe - Waffles. I tasted this in Netherlands when my hubby bought a packet saying its Belgium special waffles. We fell in love with this waffles and somehow I managed to get the recipe soon there. My son wanted to have this last week for breakfast and my father gave us a surprise visit. I made this within minutes and served it plain as we prefer it to be. You can add any toppings to it and enjoy. My father was all in praises tasting it for the first time.

So, here comes the quick recipe note on Waffles.


All purpose flour/ Maida - 1 and 1/3 cup

Baking powder - 1 and 1/2 tsp

Eggs - 2

Castor sugar/ Powdered Sugar - 1/3 cup

Milk - 1/2 cup

Butter - 2 tbsp.

Salt , a pinch


1. Break eggs in a mixing bowl and whisk well.

2. Add sugar to it and mix.
3. Sieve maida, baking powder and salt together. Add this flour mixture to the egg mixture.
4. Pour milk and mix well.
5. Add some melted butter and mix.
6. Heat waffle maker and grease it with butter. Pour a ladleful of batter to it and cook till golden brown.
Serve with honey or sprinkled castor sugar or whipped cream and fresh fruits etc.
