Tutti Frutti Eggless Cake

Excited to post this recipe as this is my 50th post. Hurray!

Time to celebrate right?

So here's the simple and the most popular cake Tutti Frutti Eggless Cake.

Tutti Frutti is made of the papaya fruit and it comes in different colors.

This was the cake my little boy wanted in his tiffin box last week as he has a look on his friend's tiffin boxes everyday and its a proud moment for them to share something special from their tiffin boxes to their friends. He doesn't mind to share the whole stuff from his lunch box but being a mom, I Mind It. That reminds me of my school days. Knowing whats special in the lunch today lighten up the day with that extra glow on the face  to go to school as if thats the only reason for going school.

Getting back to the recipe world, Here's the quick note on Tutti Frutti Eggless Cake.

Ingredients

Tutti Fruitti- 1 cup (any color) I took 2 colors green and yellow.

All Purpose flour/ Maida - 150gm

Baking Powder - 1 tsp

Baking Soda - 1/2 tsp

Vanilla Essence - 1 tsp

Powdered sugar -1 cup or slightly more

Milk - 1/2 - 1 cup

Condensed milk - 1/2 to 3/4 cup

Vegetable oil - 1/4 cup

Corn flour - 2 tsp (Optional)

Method

1. Sift maida, baking powder, Baking Soda and corn flour.

2. Dust the tutti frutti with some maida and keep aside.

3 .Mix condensed milk, milk(1/2 cup) , oil in a wide mixing bowl. Add powdered sugar and sifted flour. Mix well. Pour more milk if necessary to get a right (thick flowing) consistency.

4. Add dusted tutti frutti and give it a mix again.

5. Pour the mixture in a greased baking tin.

6. Preheat the oven for about 10 mins.

7. Bake the cake in an preheated oven for about 30 - 45 mins. Check in between with a knife by inserting it in the middle. If the knife comes out clean, that's the indication your cake is baked.

8. Remove it for the oven and allow it to cool.

9. Remove the cake from the tin and cut it into slices.

Enjoy the freshly baked Tutty Fruitty Cake and let me know how it tasted.
